Welder

LOCATION:   Mankato, MN

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction .

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); successful completion of an internal weld test; twelve months welding experience, or certificate/degree in welding, or equivalent combination of education and experience; sheet metal fabrication knowledge; proficient in MIG; knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.); knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, etc.; knowledge of basic math skills; ability to use hand held measuring tools; ability to read blue prints and welding symbols; and ability to work independently.
