Jones Metal Products has developed and implemented a quality management system in order to help provide a consistent product that meets customer specifications and satisfaction.
The principal objective of the quality management system is customer focus, in particular, customer satisfaction. The key to achieving high customer satisfaction is a good understanding of customer requirements, along with the capability to consistently fulfill these requirements.
Jones Metal Products is committed to Total Customer Satisfaction and strives to provide high quality metal fabrications that meet or exceed customer expectations. Jones Metal Products builds quality into all of its processes, continually improving the effectiveness of its Quality Management System.
JMP selects and maintains the appropriate measuring and monitoring equipment to ensure that measurement capability is consistent with measurement requirements. Equipment used for assuring product conformity is calibrated using standards traceable to the national standard.
Jones Metal Products deploys a continual improvement philosophy throughout the entire organization. The improvement effort is driven by goals defined in the quality policy and quality objectives.
Lean Manufacturing
Lean manufacturing programs are designed to help companies drive out waste so that the true value added is maximized for the customer. In 2008 Jones Metal Products began the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, including Six Sigma, 5-S, A-3 and other best management practices.
In order to successfully incorporate these lean manufacturing principals, an internal reorganization was initiated; new systems and tools were added, as well as new personnel. The process included a serious company-wide evaluation designed to better define the corporate identity and personality.
This ongoing process will help JMP better satisfy clients with higher quality products, short lead times, greater flexibility in meeting customer demands and better overall customer service.
